The Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) in Tenerife presents the temporary exhibition "Archaeology of the Gaze. The photographic work of Luis Diego Cuscoy", open from July 28 to August 12, 2026.

This exhibition, promoted within the EnSeñas Patrimonio Program, revives the essence of the 2019 exhibition but has been adapted and enhanced with interactive technology, such as touch screens and virtual reality. Through VR headsets, visitors can delve into the archaeological site of Cueva de Uchova during the aboriginal era to witness a recreated funerary rite based on the author's research.
The visual itinerary consists of sixty-six fundamental images that highlight Cuscoy's contribution to the Cultural Heritage of the Canary Islands. The photographs cover themes such as archaeology, nature, architecture, ethnography, agriculture, crafts, religiosity, folklore, and indigenous sports, portraying Canarian popular culture of the 20th century.
The exhibition holds a special significance as a reunion for Cuscoy with the Archaeological Museum of Tenerife, an institution he helped establish and direct. Beyond his scientific rigor, Luis Diego Cuscoy was always noted for his inexhaustible intellectual curiosity and sincere dedication to Canarias.
