The arrest followed an extensive investigation spanning several months. The individual, subject to a European arrest and extradition warrant, was wanted for offenses including assaults, illegal manufacturing and possession of weapons, drug trafficking, and fraud.
The search began in September 2025, when Polish authorities requested cooperation, suspecting the fugitive was in Spain. The individual took strict security measures to avoid detection, but agents eventually located him in southern Tenerife, where he lived with his family.
During the operation, the individual managed to evade police twice. In an initial arrest attempt, he escaped by jumping from a rear balcony approximately five meters high. Later, in February, he eluded investigators at a traffic stop using false documents and fled in his vehicle, endangering both officers and other drivers, and colliding with several cars during the pursuit.
Subsequent investigations led to his new hiding place in a cul-de-sac residence, a location that offered multiple escape routes. According to police sources, the man remained constantly alert, rarely left his home, and kept the entrance door permanently open to react quickly to any police intervention.
Finally, last Wednesday, a special operation involving the Special Operations Group (GOES) was deployed. The fugitive was intercepted and arrested while walking his dog, attempting once again to flee on foot towards his home.
