The Gáldar City Council has completed reinforcement and beautification works on the Sardina beach wall, with an investment of 235,000 euros, bringing recent coastal improvements to nearly one million euros.

The Gáldar City Council has finished the reinforcement and beautification works on the wall of Sardina beach, a key area on the municipality's coastline. The project, which involved an investment of 235,000 euros, primarily aims to enhance the structural safety of the zone.
The works, carried out by the Urban Planning and Tourism departments, focused on consolidating the wall along the Paseo de los Muelles, an area vulnerable to marine impact and coastal phenomena. Initially planned as a beautification project, the detection of stability issues necessitated prioritizing structural reinforcement.
Interventions included the installation of 700 linear meters of bolts with injected concrete, underpinning and reinforcing the base of the wall and solarium, and regularizing wall joints. Deteriorated elements posing a risk of detachment were also removed.
This project is part of the Gáldar Maritime Front initiative and follows a previous investment of over 700,000 euros in the area's slopes. With both actions, the recent investment in the Avenida and Playa de Sardina now exceeds one million euros, strengthening the protection of this coastal enclave.
