Endesa's grid subsidiary, e-distribución, has concluded the connection work between the FP Garachico and El Muelle transformation centers. This project, initiated in November, aims to increase response capacity to incidents and optimize the operational functioning of the municipal electrical grid.
The closure of an electrical ring allows electricity to reach the same point via different routes, ensuring a more secure, stable, and flexible supply for Garachico's approximately 5,000 inhabitants and businesses. In case of a fault, the system can maintain or restore service more quickly, providing redundancy to the infrastructure.
This configuration enhances service continuity and minimizes the impact of potential interruptions. Furthermore, the intervention increases system flexibility, offering more maneuvering options for the technical teams responsible for grid maintenance and operation.
Another significant advantage is the facilitation of scheduled maintenance tasks. With more points of operation, the company can carry out specific work on the grid without needing to interrupt the electricity supply to users, which is crucial in municipalities where service continuity is vital for homes, businesses, public services, and tourism.
Endesa states that this intervention will improve the quality of supply in Garachico and strengthen the robustness of the local electrical infrastructure.
