The event, titled "Hoy puede ser un gran día" (Today can be a great day), is part of the structural project "Los días del libro: un año para habitar la palabra" (The days of the book: a year to inhabit the word), promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Extension and supported by Cajasiete. Its aim is to foster a love for literature and has previously featured novelist David Uclés and playwright María Folguera.
Serrat's participation will not be a concert, but rather a conversation guided by university students. Special emphasis will be placed on his role as a lyricist with high poetic value and his musical settings of verses by authors such as Antonio Machado, Miguel Hernández, Joan Salvat-Papasseit, Violeta Parra, and Mario Benedetti.
While the focus is literary, the event will include musical interludes by the group CervanTres, who will perform their versions of some of the Catalan singer-songwriter's songs. Attendance is free but requires requesting tickets through a form to manage capacity, with a limit of two invitations per person.
