The capital of Tenerife is consolidating itself as a destination for lovers of good coffee, with a growing offer of establishments combining specialty coffee, artisanal pastries, and innovative gastronomic proposals. These places have become key meeting points for breakfast or enjoying a break during the day.
A content creator has highlighted six cafes in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for their offerings, personality, and ambiance. Among them is Amani Coffee, on Suárez Guerra street, known for its specialty coffee, artisanal creations like its popular slow-fermented cinnamon rolls, and single-origin coffees. The venue also welcomes pets.
Brezelita, located at La Luna street, merges German gastronomic tradition with specialty coffee, offering freshly baked pretzels and innovative pastries. Meanwhile, Findé Café, on Paseo de Milicias de Garachico, awarded a Solete Repsol, focuses on breakfasts and brunches with local products, featuring its homemade pancakes and artisanal granola, and also incorporating natural wines.
In Ireneo González square, Baraván Bistró attracts its loyal clientele with a menu blending French-influenced breakfasts and lunches, including dishes like entrecote with Café de París sauce and their version of grilled cheese sandwiches, known as 'bikinis', with the Bikini Benedictine being a highlight.
Near the Mercado de África, on José Hernández Alfonso street, Poleto redefines the ice cream parlor concept by offering artisanal popsicles, specialty coffee, and açaí bowls, with a strong emphasis on seasonal ingredients and Canarian tropical fruits.
Finally, La Escala, on Santo Domingo street, also a recipient of a Solete Repsol, presents itself as a multifunctional space. Its multicultural cuisine and adaptable design make it an ideal spot for meetings, remote work, or simply to unwind, offering an experience that goes beyond just coffee.
The rise of these cafes reflects a growing trend in the Canary Islands, where consumers increasingly value quality, coffee origin, and differentiated gastronomic proposals, turning these venues into centers for leisure and social life.
