Pope Leo XIV has confirmed his agenda for Spain, which includes two large masses in the Canary Islands, specifically in Gran Canaria and Tenerife, on June 11 and 12, 2026.

The visit of the Supreme Pontiff to Spain, the first in over a decade since Benedict XVI's in 2011, will take place from June 6 to 12. Although the full agenda is being gradually revealed, the Spanish Episcopal Conference has confirmed the initial events, which include stops in Madrid, Barcelona, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife.
In the Spanish capital, Pope Leo XIV will participate in a prayer vigil with young people in Plaza de Lima on Saturday, June 6, following his arrival at Madrid-Barajas Airport. The next day, June 7, he will preside over the Holy Mass and Corpus Christi in Plaza de Cibeles, a change of location from previous papal visits.

"After receiving approval from the Holy See, the first acts of the Holy Father on his Apostolic Journey to Spain have now been confirmed."

This event is expected to gather faithful from various parts of the archipelago, marking a moment of great spiritual significance for the local Catholic community.
To conclude his visit to Spain, Pope Leo XIV will travel to Tenerife. There, he will preside over a final Eucharistic celebration at the Port of Santa Cruz on Friday, June 12, at noon, bringing his tour to an end with a solemn and highly significant act for the island's believers.
