The activity, starting at 11:00 AM in the museum's auditorium, invites attendees to immerse themselves in one of Mexico's most joyful and colorful traditions. Participants will learn the basic techniques for designing, building, and decorating an artisanal piñata using traditional materials.
Beyond the creation process, the workshop will explore the origin, history, and cultural significance of piñatas, key elements in Mexican celebrations for generations. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
Suitable for all ages and requiring no prior experience, each participant will develop their own creation. This initiative combines creativity, learning, and culture, making it an ideal option for families, friends, or as an activity for educational centers and associations.
The workshop facilitator, Patricia Prisciliano Gómez, a Mexican resident in the Canary Islands for over twenty years, is passionate about her country's traditions. With 27 years of experience in making piñatas, she has led numerous workshops, blending artisanal techniques with cultural dissemination.
