The highly anticipated sequel to Minecraft Dungeons, titled 'Minecraft Dungeons II', has been confirmed for Fall 2026 during the Minecraft Live event.

Mojang Studios and Double Eleven have revealed the first details of ‘Minecraft Dungeons II’, the continuation of the popular action RPG. Development is progressing as planned, with a release date set for Fall 2026. The title will be available on platforms such as Xbox Series, PS5, Switch, Switch 2, and Steam for PC, in addition to being included from day one in the Game Pass catalog.
The initial game sequences showcase an expansion of gameplay and content compared to its predecessor. While remaining faithful to the original proposal, ‘Minecraft Dungeons II’ will feature larger-scale encounters, new environments, more loot, and a cooperative mode for up to four players. Players will face a new threat and battle never-before-seen enemies, including the Twisted Warden.
Furthermore, ‘Minecraft’ will also receive new free content in 2026. Following the release of Tiny Takeover in March, Chaos Cubed will arrive on June 16th. This update will introduce sulfur caves, an underground biome with springs and dangerous gases, as well as cinnabar and sulfur blocks, and a creature called the sulfur cube.
Additionally, a preview of the content planned for Fall 2026 was shown, which will include a dappled forest, aspens, and abandoned camps. Mojang Studios will reveal more details about this update in the coming months.
