The Minister of Health has reported attempts to "boycott" the disembarkation of passengers from the MV Hondius vessel in the Canary Islands the night before the operation, referring to local authorities' intentions.

During her address in the Senate Plenary, the Minister of Health responded to questions from various parliamentary groups, asserting that the Government prevented the sabotage of the operation. "What we did was prevent the boycott, because there were those who wanted, the night before, to boycott that ship from reaching the Canary Islands' coasts," she emphasized.

"What we will not forget are those who tried to boycott the operation."

The Minister described the operation as "successful" and a source of pride for Spaniards, defending that the Government made "no mistakes." She stressed that "all protocols" and "epidemiological criteria" were followed to ensure the health of both passengers and the general population.
Furthermore, the Minister criticized those who, according to her, sought decisions based on "political opportunism" rather than technical or health criteria. "This Government will not disregard laws, international law, or international health regulations," she concluded, reaffirming the operation's success.
