After four years marked by the need to change the federation's mindset and overcome various obstacles, Morales Mansito faces a new term at the helm of the FIFT. He asserts that his management has opened the organization's doors to all sectors of Tenerife football, despite facing difficulties and unfounded accusations, including a complaint for alleged misuse of cards that was later dismissed by the prosecutor's office.
The re-elected president highlighted the improvement in the federation's financial situation, which has moved from a precarious financial position in 2022 to having a clearer outlook for the future, although outstanding payments remain. He emphasized the support received from clubs, coaches, players, and referees, reflected in the recent election results.
Key priorities for this new term include promoting women's football, with programs like 'Talento Femenino' (Female Talent), and improving the facilities at the Juan Padrón Complex (El Mundialito). Work will also be done on the Ciudad Deportiva Javier Pérez, which will serve as a base for the 2030 World Cup, aiming to attract national team training camps.
Morales Mansito also celebrated the promotion of CD Tenerife to the Second Division, calling it a significant milestone for the island's sport. He recalled the organization of high-profile events such as the European Men's Champions Cup and the Women's Futsal Super Cup, and reaffirmed the commitment to continue bringing relevant events to Tenerife.
Finally, he announced the creation of an Anti-Violence Commission to address incidents in grassroots matches, acknowledging that violence is a reflection of society but assuring that urgent measures will be taken to combat it in the sporting arena.
