Baleària Canarias shipping company has presented the new fast ferry 'Pepita Castellví' at the port of Los Cristianos, Tenerife, to enhance the triangular route between Tenerife, La Gomera, and La Palma this summer.

The brand-new trimaran, named Pepita Castellví, joins the fleet to improve the connection between Tenerife, La Gomera, and La Palma. The vessel, measuring 102 meters in length, has a capacity for 870 passengers and 250 vehicles, and can reach speeds of 35 knots.
This ship, originally launched in 2015 and having undergone a comprehensive renovation, offers amenities such as two cafes, a children's area, pet-friendly services, and a gift shop. Notably, it incorporates Starlink connectivity for high-quality Wi-Fi service and two exclusive lounges for enhanced privacy.
Currently, the Pepita Castellví is temporarily operating on the schedule of the ferry Volcán de Tirajana, which is undergoing maintenance. Starting June 26th, the new trimaran will establish its own route.
The planned schedules for the triangular route include departures from Monday to Saturday from Los Cristianos at 7:20 AM towards La Gomera and at 8:00 AM towards Santa Cruz de La Palma. In the afternoon, it will return from La Palma at 5:30 PM and depart again at 8:30 PM heading to La Gomera.
On Sundays, the Pepita Castellví will operate four daily services between Los Cristianos and San Sebastián de La Gomera. This service will complement the Volcán de Tirajana, which will maintain a daily rotation between the three islands in the reverse direction and additional services between Tenerife and La Gomera.
The shipping company's summer schedule will feature a total of twelve vessels, covering both inter-island routes and connections to the mainland. The trimaran's official presentation took place in Santa Cruz de La Palma and Los Cristianos.
