The new leadership of Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista (NC-BC) in Tenerife has been unveiled, with the goal of strengthening the left-wing nationalist project on the island and addressing its structural issues.

The unified candidacy for the political council (tagoror) and the executive (sábor) of NC-BC in Tenerife was officially proclaimed after an internal process. This new structure, comprising fifteen members, aims to represent all local committees on the island.

"The main objective of this new stage is to strengthen a necessary project in Tenerife to pull the island out of 'collapse', pointing to 'structural problems' derived from decades of 'developmentalism, lack of planning, and deficits in essential areas' such as mobility, healthcare, and infrastructure."

The party advocates for a left-wing nationalist project that prioritizes public services, the social majority, and social justice. It has been noted that there is no political representation to the left of the PSOE in institutions like the Cabildo de Tenerife, positioning NC-BC as a progressive and Canarian alternative.
From the national leadership of the organization, the role of NC-BC in Tenerife in the transformation of the Canary Islands has been highlighted. The strengthening of the island's structure is considered crucial for advancing towards a more cohesive, sustainable, and citizen-centered Canarian country model.

"Nueva Canarias-BC is the fourth force in the Parliament of the Canary Islands and has institutional presence in most of the islands. It is necessary to build another Tenerife, away from the current collapse, where sustainability is a central axis and public policies are oriented towards the social majority."
