The creator, originally from Extremadura and specializing in fashion photography and digital retouching, has conquered the main categories of the contest with her works 'Agapa del Jerte', '73 de construcción', and '75 lembranza'. Barragán, 20 years old, began her photographic journey four years ago and has managed to make a living from her passion, publishing her work in various magazines and receiving multiple awards.
The contest, which stood out for the high quality of the submissions, revolved around the relationship between fashion and gastronomy. Barragán expressed her satisfaction at achieving her professional goals and being able to work in what she is passionate about, highlighting her homeland's influence on her artistic vision.
The 14th edition of the competition included three monetary prizes: 3,500 euros for the first place, 2,500 for the second, and 1,500 for the third, in addition to commemorative trophies. The jury evaluated aspects such as thematic coherence, creativity, originality, and technical skill in post-production and lighting.
Efraín Medina, Minister of Employment, Education, and Youth, emphasized the contest's importance in fostering synergies between the fashion and gastronomy sectors, considered hallmarks of the region and drivers of economic development and job creation.
