Stable Condition for Bus Accident Victims Transferred to Tenerife

Three patients injured in the La Gomera bus accident, hospitalized in Tenerife, remain in stable condition, while three others may be discharged today.

The three injured individuals from the bus accident in La Gomera, who were transferred to Tenerife, are in stable condition, while three other patients under observation in La Gomera could be discharged this Saturday.

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported that the three patients admitted to Tenerife following the tourist bus accident in La Gomera are in stable condition. One of them, however, is in serious condition.
Additionally, the Health department stated in a press release that the three people currently under observation at Hospital Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, in La Gomera, are showing favorable progress and are expected to be discharged today, Saturday, April 11, 2026.
The accident, which occurred on Friday, April 10, 2026, involved a tourist bus from the company Gomera Tours carrying 28 people. The vehicle plunged down a ten-meter embankment at kilometer 4.500 of the GM-2 road, around 1:20 PM.
As a result of the incident, a 77-year-old British tourist died, and the remaining occupants, including the driver, sustained injuries of varying severity. Three of the injured were airlifted to Tenerife, specifically to Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria and Hospital Universitario de Canarias, while the others were evacuated to Hospital Insular Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in La Gomera.
