The guided tour of the exhibition «Hortus Hesperidum», led by its curator, Manolo Yanes, will serve as the closing event for this exhibition project at the Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA). The event will take place on July 17, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, with free admission until full capacity.
«Hortus Hesperidum» is a project centered around the myth of the Garden of the Hesperides. The core of the exhibition is a polyptych of the same name, offering a free interpretation of the myth set in an imaginary Canarian landscape. According to certain ancient sources, the islands are one of the most common locations for this legendary garden, thus linking the Canary Islands with a mythical past within the Greco-Latin cultural tradition.
