A storm is affecting the Canary Islands this Saturday, bringing winds of over 90 kilometers per hour and rough seas to the archipelago's waters, as reported by AEMET.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has forecast a cloudy Saturday with strong winds and very intense gusts across much of the Canarian territory. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, with lows of 15 degrees Celsius in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and highs of 19 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively.
The wind, from the north or northwest, is expected to be moderate to strong, with probable very strong gusts in various latitudes, especially in the peaks. In some areas, such as the central peaks of Tenerife, gusts could exceed 90 km/h during the early morning.
In the waters surrounding the archipelago, north winds of force 4 to 6 are anticipated, leading to strong swells or rough seas. Additionally, northwesterly swell with waves of 2 to 3 meters and occasional showers are expected, as reported by Efe.
The specific forecast for Tenerife indicates cloudy skies in the north with possible light precipitation in the early morning and first half of the day. Temperatures will see a slight rise, more pronounced in the central peaks. The wind will be from the north, moderate to strong, with very strong gusts on the southern slope of the metropolitan area, peaks, and high areas of the ridge.
