The island of Tenerife is set to host an important conference focused on digital transformation in the tourism sector, a gathering that will bring together professionals, businesses, and institutional representatives to discuss innovation and competitiveness.

The event, titled “Digital Transformation in Tourism: Innovate to Compete and Connect,” will take place on Wednesday, April 29, at the Iberostar Grand Mencey Hotel. The session will begin at 09:30 AM with a networking coffee, followed by the official welcome at 10:00 AM.
One of the central points of the conference will be the presentation of the Intelligent Destination Platform, led by a representative from Segittur. The fundamental role of this tool in modernizing tourist destinations will be analyzed, aiming to optimize the traveler's experience and resource management.

Subsequently, a discussion will be held on the implementation and benefits of this model in various territories, with the participation of the CEO of Turismo de Tenerife and a representative from the Spanish Office of the Intelligent Destination Platform (OEG).

This panel, moderated by a journalist, will feature executives from sector companies, who will share their experiences and practical cases. The event will conclude at 12:30 PM with the closing ceremony, reaffirming the commitment to innovation as a strategic pillar for the future of tourism.
