The Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has suspended the concerts scheduled for Friday, June 12th, as part of the Tenerife Music Festival 2026.

The decision was made following the activation of the Canary Islands Autonomous Community Civil Protection Territorial Emergency Plan (Plateca) to Alert level, due to security measures and the high concentration of people anticipated for Pope Leo XIV's visit to the islands.
Puertos de Tenerife has announced the cancellation of authorization for the event at the Dársena de Los Llanos, the festival's location. Additionally, all lighting, sound, and technical tests have been suspended between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Friday to avoid interference with papal activities.
The festival stage is located in the same area of the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife where the pontiff will officiate a large mass during his Apostolic Journey to Spain.
The organization of the Tenerife Music Festival has not yet provided details on potential programming changes or the relocation of affected concerts, nor on the procedure for tickets for the suspended day. Information is expected in the coming hours.
