Tenerife Offers a Weekend Full of Cultural and Sports Activities

The island presents a diverse program including cinema, comedy, the April Fair in La Laguna, and various sporting events.

The island of Tenerife is set to host a weekend packed with leisure options, offering a range of activities from film screenings and comedy shows to the celebration of the April Fair and various sports events.

TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes will screen Un poeta, the latest work by Colombian filmmaker Simón Mesa Soto, this weekend at 7:00 PM. This film, nominated for a Goya Award for Best Ibero-American Film, provides an intimate narrative about identity and displacement, shot on 16 mm for an authentic visual texture.
In La Laguna, Parque de Las Mantecas will be transformed to host the April Fair 2026, an event aiming to establish itself as a benchmark for Andalusian culture in the Canary Islands. The fair, running from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, will feature music, dance, and gastronomy.
Comedy will also be a highlight. The Teatro Leal de La Laguna will present the show Humo this Saturday, where a comedian from Lanzarote explores the pressures of social media. There will be two performances, at 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Additionally, Candelaria will host the Carcajada Candelaria Fest 2026 this Saturday at 9:00 PM in the Punta Larga Shopping Center square, with free admission.
In sports, CD Tenerife will face Arenas this Saturday at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, with the match scheduled for 5:30 PM. Also on Saturday, the streets of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host the popular Binter NightRun race.
