The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Exhibition Centre is set to host the Tenerife Weekend Urban Dance this Saturday, June 13th, an event that will bring together over one hundred urban dance groups before an international jury.

The capital of Tenerife will be the stage for the highly anticipated urban dance competition, Tenerife Weekend Urban Dance. The event, taking place at the Recinto Ferial from 10:40 AM to 7:10 PM, anticipates the attendance of approximately 6,000 people. Around one hundred groups from more than thirty academies across the Canary Islands will participate.
The championship will feature a panel of internationally renowned judges, including dancers and choreographers Gemini Lockiano, Mónica Tongco, and Andi Vega. Groups will compete across seven distinct categories, covering all age ranges: baby, children, junior, youth, absolute, premium, and megacrew. The premium category, for instance, is for participants over 35 years old, while megacrews are notable for their large number of members, delivering visually striking performances.
This competition, celebrating the passion for dance without age limits, is supported by the institutional backing of the Government of the Canary Islands, the Tenerife Island Council, and the La Laguna City Council.
