Wines from Tenerife have been the main protagonists in the 22nd edition of the International Wine and Spirits Competition (Cinve), claiming the majority of the awards obtained by the Canary Islands.

The participation of the Canary Islands in the competition concluded with a total of 57 medals, of which 52 were for wine elaborations. This result represents an improvement of 16 awards compared to the previous edition of Cinve.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of the Canary Islands highlighted the high standard of Canarian wines in an edition that featured nearly 1,000 samples from countries such as Argentina, Germany, Mexico, France, and Greece. Although the Canary Islands achieved 21 Grand Golds, 29 Golds, and 7 Silvers, Tenerife's wines secured most of the most significant recognitions.
In the still white wine category, Tenerife particularly excelled, earning nine Grand Golds. Among the awarded labels are Alejandro Gallo Doble Malvasía 2024, Brumas de Ayosa Blanco Seco 2025, Flor de Chasna Blanco 2025, Testamento Malvasía Aromática Dry 2025, Mencey Chasna Blanco Seco Añada 2025, and Pagos de Reverón Blanco Seco Ecológico 2025.
Tenerife's presence was also notable in still red wines, where Canarian brands obtained five Grand Golds. The awardees include Alejandro Gallo Syrah 2023, Alejandro Gallo Vijariego Negro y Tintilla 2023, Brumas de Ayosa Tinto Joven 2025, and Mencey Chasna Tinto Maceración Carbónica 2025.
Furthermore, in still rosé wines, Mencey Chasna Rosado Seco 2025 received a Grand Gold, and in the sweet wine category, Alejandro Gallo Moscatel de Alejandría 2024 was honored with the highest medal. Tenerife's prominence extended to sparkling wines, with a Grand Gold for Brumas de Ayosa 100% Malvasía Aromática 2023, and to vermouths, where Alejandro Gallo Vermut Rojo Premium 2022 secured the only Grand Gold in its category.
