The Cabildo de La Gomera has inaugurated a photographic exhibition documenting the mission of the Lebanon Brigade XLIII, deployed in southern Lebanon between 2025 and 2026 as part of the United Nations peace mission.

The Exhibition Hall of the Cabildo de La Gomera is hosting this visual display, titled Expo Brilib XLIII, which pays tribute to the work of the Spanish Armed Forces abroad. The exhibition was inaugurated with the presence of prominent military and political figures, including the brigadier general, head of the Fifth General Sub-inspection of the Army in the Canary Islands, and the president of the Cabildo.
Unlike other exhibitions, this gallery focuses on the human dimension of the soldiers, offering insight into their daily lives away from home and under the commitment of an international peace operation. Through a thematic journey, the public can explore the landscapes, faces, and most significant moments that mark the daily pulse of Spanish troops in Lebanese territory.
The exhibition's structure is organized into six thematic blocks, allowing visitors to delve into different aspects of the work on the ground, from interaction with the local population to the harshness of the landscape. The objective of the Canary Islands Military Historical Museum with this initiative is to bring the reality of international missions closer to the public, making visible work that often remains out of public sight but is vital for global security.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, in the morning from 08:00 to 15:00 and in the afternoon from 17:00 to 19:00, with free admission.
