The conflict over securing a prime spot in the pool area of some Tenerife hotels has seen a new chapter, this time captured and disseminated via the TikTok platform. User @rachaelrogers11 shared a video last Friday that has garnered thousands of views, documenting a direct action against the practice of reserving sunbeds without physical presence.
The recording clearly shows towels, presumably left early in the morning by other guests to secure their spot, being removed. The video's author accompanied the action with the message: "Leaving a little surprise for the pool hoggers," summarizing the measure taken out of frustration due to the difficulty in finding free space.
The tourist explained the motivations behind her decision, noting that throughout several days of her vacation in the south of the island, the same individuals seemed to "take over" the available sunbeds. "So today we decided to give them a surprise and take them," she detailed in the image description, identifying the location of the incident as the Mediterranean Palace in Tenerife.
