The incident, which occurred around 10:00 AM at kilometer 54 of the highway, involved a vehicle overturning for reasons still under investigation. The swift response from emergency services was crucial in addressing the situation.
The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 112 Canarias received the alert, immediately activating rescue teams. As a result of the crash, a man and a woman sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital for medical attention and a full assessment of their condition.
Personnel from the Guardia Civil, an ambulance from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC), and staff from the Tenerife Island Council's Road Service were deployed to the accident site. They are all working together to manage the situation and restore normal traffic flow on this important island road.
The rollover has generated significant traffic congestion on the TF-1, particularly southbound, affecting one of Tenerife's main arteries. Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution and, if possible, seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
