The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has announced the start of asphalt surface rehabilitation works on Granadilla street, located in the Salud-La Salle district. These works, part of the municipal public road maintenance contract, will commence on Monday, May 18, and are estimated to last for nine days.
The intervention, with an investment of 108,000 euros, will be carried out exclusively during daytime hours, between 07:30 and 17:00, to maximize visibility and safety. These tasks are expected to require citizens to alter their usual routes to and from the neighborhood for the duration of the works.
The project includes the superficial rehabilitation of the worn asphalt and the complete replacement of all horizontal signage. To minimize the impact on traffic and inconvenience to residents, the operation will be executed progressively and has been coordinated with the public transport company TITSA for route modifications.
The work is divided into three phases to manage traffic closures, parking prohibitions, and alternative diversions. The first phase will affect the section from Buenavista street, involving a total traffic closure. The second phase will focus on the area between Arona street and Río Manzanares street, blocking transversal access. The third phase will alter traffic in the section between Arona and San Juan de la Rambla, diverting traffic from Arona towards Río Manzanares.
The City Council will enhance temporary signage and ensure access to private garages and priority passage for emergency and health assistance vehicles throughout the operation.
