Two young men have been sent to provisional prison in Tenerife following a brutal assault and robbery of a man in the early hours of April 5 in La Laguna's El Cuadrilátero nightlife district, where the victim suffered a broken nose.

The judicial authority has ordered provisional imprisonment for two individuals accused of severely beating a young man to rob him. The incident occurred during the early morning in the municipality of La Laguna, Tenerife, resulting in the victim sustaining a broken nose, among other injuries, after receiving multiple punches and kicks.
The events unfolded in the nightlife area known as El Cuadrilátero, in the early hours of April 5. The two arrested individuals, of Moroccan nationality, waited for several establishments to close before approaching young people who might be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, with the aim of stealing valuables or cash.
According to the investigation, if victims do not resist, the assailants avoid violence. However, in this case, the victim pushed the attackers when they tried to grope him, which triggered an extreme assault with punches and kicks, even after he was on the ground. The injury report confirmed a broken nose.
The National Police in La Laguna received the complaint and proceeded to arrest the two alleged perpetrators, both under 30 years old. They are charged with crimes of robbery with violence and serious injuries. After their detention was extended for further investigation, and a lineup where several witnesses identified them, both were sent to provisional prison, communicated and without bail, at the Tenerife II penitentiary center.
