The team from the Knowledge Transfer Office (OTC) participated in the Erasmus+ International Dimension Program. The main objective was to analyze systems for patent management, the creation of technology-based spin-offs, and the promotion of research projects at leading Ibero-American universities.
At the National University of La Plata in Argentina, technological linkage models and entrepreneurship support were examined. The experience allowed for observing how scientific outreach is integrated into research activities, as well as learning about collaboration mechanisms with CONICET.
Meanwhile, at the Autonomous University of Puebla in Mexico, the focus was on the management of business incubators and innovation service financing. The importance of the connection between the university and the local business fabric for the development of government-driven projects was highlighted.
Finally, the stay at the University of São Paulo in Brazil served to identify technology transfer strategies and analyze the legal framework that facilitates institutional autonomy in creating companies. Collaboration between Brazilian university centers was one of the most relevant aspects observed.
