Vega and Calvo Crowned Canary Islands Cadet Champions in Tenerife

The Canary Islands Cadet Tennis Championship, one of the most significant events on the regional calendar, concluded in Tenerife with victories for José Luis Vega and Adriana Calvo, securing their spots in the Spanish Championship.

The excellent facilities of Tenerife Top Training in La Caleta de Costa Adeje hosted this important junior tennis event. The competition, which spanned several days, gathered some of the most promising talents from the region, showcasing the high standard of Canarian tennis.
After intense matches, the player from Gran Canaria, José Luis Vega, was crowned champion in the male category, defeating the Tenerife native Daniel Moreno, who took second place. In the female category, victory went to Adriana Calvo, also from Gran Canaria, while Sofía Ortíz from Tenerife secured the runner-up position.
Both champions have earned a direct spot to participate in the Spanish Championship, scheduled to take place from June 13 at the Club de Tenis Llafranc in Girona.
The trophy presentation ceremony was attended by a representative from Tenerife Top Training and the president of the Canary Islands Tennis Federation. The officiating team included Miguel Mesa as the chief umpire, and chair umpires Luis Enrique Tittle and Lucía González.
