The municipality of El Paso will host the seventh edition of eiSAXional Jazz from April 10 to 12, 2026, an international saxophone meeting bringing together musicians of various skill levels.

The Braulio Martín Hernández Culture House will be the venue for this event, organized by the cultural association 'Encuentro de Saxofón La Palma'. The program promises an intense weekend full of workshops, jazz sessions, and live music performances.
This year, the organization celebrates the return of Kike Perdomo, a prominent figure in Canarian jazz with extensive national and international experience. Perdomo, who has participated in eiSAXional Jazz since its first edition in 2021, will return to La Palma to teach an introductory course on jazz and modern music. Additionally, he will perform a concert that is anticipated to be one of the most awaited moments for jazz enthusiasts on the island.
The meeting is under the artistic direction of Anne-Theilke Grabow and José Francisco Climent, founders of the event in 2020. It receives support from the El Paso City Council and the Cabildo Insular de La Palma, and is sponsored by SODEPAL (Society for the Promotion of Economic and Social Development of La Palma).
The intensive course consists of four 5.5-hour sessions, including 45 minutes of individual class time per participant. It is aimed at saxophonists, flutists, clarinetists, and trumpeters, ranging from music students to amateurs and professionals. Basic knowledge of instrumental performance and sheet music reading is required; no prior specific experience in jazz or modern music is necessary.
With this seventh edition, El Paso solidifies its position as a meeting point for musicians and music lovers, celebrating the versatility of the saxophone. The organizers have expressed their gratitude to the Cabildo Insular de La Palma, SODEPAL, and the El Paso City Council, highlighting the support from the Minister of Culture, Miriam Perestelo; the Mayor, Eloy Martín; and the area Councilor, Irinova Hernández, for making this musical event possible.
