The event will take place on Calle Antonio Pino Pérez, the Jardín La Era, and the Plaza de Las Abuelas. This year, the fair features increased participation of stalls and activities for all audiences, including live performances by Bonita Brass Band, Adversos, A.F. Cumbre Nueva, and Los Boinas.
The mayor of El Paso, Eloy Martín, highlighted the growth of the Typical Market, calling it "a very attractive proposal within our festivals, creating a meeting space for residents and visitors." He emphasized the talent of local artisans and the importance of preserving crafts and traditions.
For her part, the Councilor for Crafts, Yaiza González, pointed out the expansion of the program with initiatives for all ages. Workshops on basketry, leatherwork, spinning, and embroidery will be offered, along with demonstrations, tastings of typical products, and an exhibition with a visit to the Silk Museum.
The market will be open on Friday, September 4th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On Saturday the 5th, hours will extend from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, offering more time to enjoy the different stands and activities.
The City Council encourages citizens to participate in this event that highlights craftsmanship and tradition within the framework of the Fiestas del Pino.
The program includes children's workshops on creative basketry and introductory leatherwork on Friday, as well as performances by Bonita Brass Band. On Saturday, the collection «Aelí, Moda Consciente» will be presented, along with spinning demonstrations, a visit to the Silk Museum, cheese and wine tasting, and performances by Adversos, A.F. Cumbre Nueva, and Los Boinas.
The Typical Craft Market is organized by the El Paso City Council and the Municipal Market, with the support of the Cabildo Insular de La Palma and the Government of the Canary Islands.
