The festival will bring together bands and artists from La Palma, other Canary Islands, and Galicia, alongside acts from Germany and Italy. The program will unfold in various locations within the municipality, as part of the Fiestas de Nuestra Señora del Pino 2026.
The live music kicks off on Thursday, August 27 at 8:00 PM at Bar Central, with the Opening Session featuring Hi Men Killers, accompanied by Franky Frank and Sra. Pimienta on the decks.
On Friday, August 28, starting at 8:00 PM, the festival continues on Manuel Taño street, this time outdoors in front of CreaLab, with the Rock and Roll After Work Session. The lineup includes Hot Bopins (Gran Canaria), Colly & The Firecrackers (Düsseldorf), and Klaus Wild Cat (Genoa, currently based in the islands), in addition to sets by Franky Frank and Calamity Jane.
Saturday, August 29, begins at 7:30 PM with the Wild Weekend Session. The program features local band Trafallos de Luxe, Manicomio del Sur, and Bifidos, alongside Huevo (Tenerife) and The Bo Derek’s (Galicia), fronted by Óscar Avendaño, former member of Siniestro Total. The night will continue with sets by Franky Frank, DCM Selectora, and Moni Loff.
The festival culminates on Sunday, August 30, with the Car Show Session on Avenida Islas Canarias, at the Town Hall Atrium, coinciding with the Classic Vehicle Gathering. The closing program includes a live performance by Tihuya Cats, accompanied on guitar, as usual, by Uncle Charlie, and Dj. Franky Frank, who will provide the musical finale.
The mayor of El Paso, Eloy Martín, highlighted the festival's identity and loyal audience, now in its ninth edition. He stated that "for four days, El Paso will once again be a meeting point to enjoy alternative music from diverse origins".
Martín also emphasized the work of Manolo Villalba, the event's main promoter, thanking him for his "drive and commitment to a festival that continues to grow and contribute new proposals to our cultural programming".
For her part, the Councilor for Culture and Festivals, Irinova Hernández, stressed the festival's commitment to local talent and the presence of artists from El Paso and La Palma, as well as welcoming groups from other islands and beyond. "This edition once again brings together different styles and ways of understanding music," she said.
The 9th El Paso Rock and Blues Festival is organized by the El Paso City Council and supported by the Island Council of La Palma, Sodepal, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the Canarian Institute for Cultural Development, with additional collaboration from the El Paso Classic Car Club, Corazón del Atlántico, and Amy Producciones.
