The distinction was presented during the VI Regional Meeting of Writers and Songwriters, held last weekend at the Espacio Cultural Punta Larga, the collective's permanent headquarters. ACTE Canarias also recognized other literary groups from Candelaria, such as La Despensa de las Letras and Escritores 2020.
The event, which brought together writers, poets, narrators, songwriters, and culture enthusiasts from various islands of the archipelago, was at full capacity during its three days. The public had the opportunity to share experiences, present their works, and participate in a broad program of cultural activities.

The Mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, expressed her gratitude, emphasizing that the award belongs to everyone who makes the libraries an open and welcoming space, and that recognition from local creators makes it even more special.
For his part, the Councilor for Culture, Manuel González, highlighted the value of the link between the libraries and literary groups. "Our libraries are much more than lending spaces: they are meeting points for Candelaria's literary collectives," he stated, and assured that work will continue with associations like ACTE Canarias to promote literary creation in the municipality.
