Machinery for the demolition of the former Hotel Tenerife Tour, located on Avenida Marítima in Las Caletillas, began arriving this Tuesday, October 13th, with demolition work scheduled to commence on Thursday the 15th.

The project is being promoted by the owner entity, Tenerife Tour S.A., and is based on the Integral Demolition Project drafted by Estudio Funcionall SLP, which will also oversee the construction management.
This hotel complex, built in 1964 on a plot of 8,359 m² along the coast of Candelaria, comprises 4,816 m² of built area that has been disused for years. The aim of the demolition is to eliminate the risk it poses to public safety and restore the site to its pre-construction state.
According to the project plan, the demolition will take place over a period of three months, executed in phases from the upper to the lower floors. Priority will be given to separating recyclable materials and managing the generated waste. Throughout the construction period, the plot will be fenced off, and local residents are requested to adhere to the safety signage.
