The event, starting at 8:00 PM, will combine recognition for the careers of artists linked to the municipality with the official unveiling of a publication dedicated to urban art manifestations found in the streets of Candelaria.
The 2026 Art Awards are accolades granted by the Candelaria City Council to distinguish the creative work of its artists. Meanwhile, the ‘Urban Art Guide of Candelaria’ aims to compile and highlight the street art pieces that constitute the municipality's urban artistic heritage.
The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, emphasized the importance of art as a living identity of their municipality, stating that «art is one of the most vibrant identity markers of our municipality, and this book helps us to see it with new eyes».
The publication features texts by Vanessa Rosa Serafín, photographs by Sheila Torres, and design by Paco Almeida, a team that has collaborated to offer a visual and documented journey through the town's urban art.
