The City Council of Candelaria has organized the security device for the Festivities in honor of Our Lady of Candelaria, Patron Saint of the Canary Islands, coordinating efforts with the Civil Guard, Local Police, and Civil Protection.

The municipal Security and Emergencies department of the Candelaria City Council, under the leadership of councilor Francisco Alonso, has held two key meetings to plan security during the central days of the Festivities in honor of Our Lady of Candelaria, Patron Saint of the Canary Islands.
The first meeting took place with the Civil Guard, the Candelaria Civil Protection Group, and the Local Police. Subsequently, a second meeting was held with the entire staff of the Candelaria Local Police.
In both sessions, planned actions were detailed and the distribution of personnel for the days with the highest visitor numbers was defined. During these days, the municipality expects the arrival of pilgrims and tourists from all over the island and the rest of the Archipelago.
Close coordination between the different administrations and the valuable involvement of Civil Protection volunteers are fundamental to ensuring the normal and safe development of the Festivities.
