The autumn season at the Cine Viejo Cultural Space, presented by the Candelaria City Council, will feature nineteen shows encompassing theater, music, and productions originating from the islands. The program will run from October to December.
Mayor Mari Brito highlighted the importance of Cine Viejo as a meeting point for residents. "Having it full is the best sign that we are on the right track," she stated, emphasizing the variety of offerings aimed at encouraging the public to enjoy shared cultural experiences.
October begins on the 3rd with the Igonce Flavors Latin Festival, followed on the 10th by the Tensamba Brazilian Music Festival. The 15th will mark the International Rural Women's Day recognition event. Between the 16th and 18th, workshops for the Canarias Gospel Summit 2026 will take place, culminating on the 17th with a concert by the Canary Islands Gospel Choir. On the 24th, the ballroom scene will be presented with The Majestic Vision Ball, and the month concludes on the 30th with Miguel Rojas.
November starts on the 1st with a Halloween special by the Las Candelas Music Band featuring Moisés Évora, including an educational performance for local schools on the 3rd. On the 7th, the Alongateatro Company will present the play ‘Real Love’. The 14th will host the ‘Juan Abilio Alonso Fariña’ Children and Youth Bands Meeting. On the 21st, ‘Supersaurio’ by Ángulo Producciones will premiere. On the 22nd, the Las Candelas Music Band will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a concert and documentary, and the 28th will feature the eighth edition of the CanaryDrums Festival.
In December, the 5th will see the presentation of the comparsa Bella Mariana. On the 8th, the family musical ‘The Snow Queen’ by Camino Viejo Producciones will be performed. The 12th will feature the presentation of the comparsa Tropicana. On the 22nd and 23rd, Santa Claus's House will open its doors. The season will conclude on the 26th and 27th with the musical ‘Aladdin’ by the Las Candelas Music Band.
The Councilor for Culture, Manuel Alberto González Pestano, emphasized the importance of giving theater a prominent role and supporting local companies. "In Candelaria, we want those who create theater to have a place to showcase their work," he stated.
