A total of 27 workers from the Candelaria Public Services and Company (EPELCAN) and 68 employees from the Municipal Insertion, Housing, and Services Company will benefit from these new measures, which aim to reinforce a labor framework based on stability, equity, and recognition of professional performance.
The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, highlighted that these agreements fulfill the commitment made to the workers, who carry out essential tasks in the municipality in areas such as home care, cleaning, the Pottery Center, Municipal Radio, and the Children's School.
Brito emphasized that it has been a long process and thanked the workers for their effort and commitment, as well as the work done by the councilor responsible for the Area, Mónica Yanes.
For her part, the delegate councilor for Municipal Companies, Mónica Yanes, explained that the new labor framework provides greater stability and equity, with a clear definition of roles and an equitable salary base through the Job Position Schedule.
The Social Plan includes measures to enhance staff protection and promote work-life balance, with benefits such as collective health insurance, study grants, and financial support for enrollment in children's schools.
The Objective Compliance Regulation establishes a system of direct and transparent economic incentives for the effort, efficiency, and performance of each employee.
The agreements were unanimously approved in the Board of Directors meetings held on Monday, August 24 for EPELCAN and Tuesday, August 25 for the Municipal Insertion, Housing, and Services Company, with the attendance of councilors from the governing PSOE group.
