The thirteenth edition of the festival, organized by the Candelaria City Council, has reaffirmed itself as one of the most important summer music events on the island, for both the public and Canarian artists. The performances, presented by Ramón Hernández, began each night at 9:00 PM.
The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, gave a very positive assessment of the edition, highlighting the large turnout and the atmosphere of familiarity and fun. "Marea has once again shown that music made in the Canary Islands fills venues, and that you can enjoy a top-level festival in a unique setting with free entry," she stated. She also noted the public's response to the different musical offerings and the wide range of ages present on the beach, emphasizing that the festival continues to be a showcase for local artists and an anticipated event for residents.
The festival's program kicked off on Thursday, July 30, with the presentation of Moise González's tour ‘Contracorriente’, during an inclusive and barrier-free event. On Friday, July 31, Atteneri Caro, Cristina Mahelo, and Agua del Chorro performed with the tour ‘Llegaron los pibes’. On Saturday, August 1, the stage hosted Juan Mesa y Los Tetrabaifos, the Batucada Almagec, and La Caliente, combining Canarian roots with festive rhythms. The closing acts on Sunday, August 2, featured Princesa, with her tribute to Joaquín Sabina, and Lotus Revival, concluding four days of music that bridged the end of July with the beginning of the municipality's main month.
The Candelaria City Council has expressed its gratitude for the public's participation, the artists' work, and the involvement of municipal staff and emergency services personnel who ensured the event's smooth running.
