The Club de Tenis Tafira from Gran Canaria and the Club Náutico Puertito de Güímar from Tenerife were crowned champions in tennis and pádel, respectively, in the finals held at the Oceánico Tenis Club facilities in Puerto de la Cruz. The event brought together 93 young athletes from Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and La Palma.
In tennis, CT Tafira secured the title by defeating CT Las Rehoyas 3-2 in an all-Gran Canaria final. The competition, which began with quarter-finals, saw CT Sibora (Tenerife) qualify after beating the Escuela de Tenis Fariones (Lanzarote), and CT Tafira overcome CT Valle de Aridane A (La Palma). In the semi-finals, Las Rehoyas defeated CT Sibora, and CT Tafira beat CD Dupla (Tenerife), leading to the final showdown between the Gran Canarian teams.
The third-place match was closely contested, with CT Sibora winning 3-2 against CD Dupla. CT Valle de Aridane A finished fifth after beating the Escuela de Tenis Fariones, who concluded in sixth place.
In pádel, the Club Náutico Puertito de Güímar completed a perfect competition, becoming champions after winning all three of their matches. The Tenerife team finished ahead of Lanzarote Team (second), Altiora Pádel Academy (Gran Canaria, third), and Padelventura (Fuerteventura, fourth). The mixed competition involved 45 young athletes in a round-robin format.
CN Puertito de Güímar, with eleven players, proved dominant throughout the competition, accumulating the maximum possible points. Lanzarote Team, with thirteen participants, secured second place, while Altiora Pádel Academy, with twelve representatives, took third. Padelventura closed the standings with nine athletes.
The day concluded with a joint awards ceremony, capping off finals where, beyond the results, the coexistence among young people from different islands, fair play, and the values associated with sports practice took center stage. These championships are promoted by the Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports, with the collaboration of the Canary Islands tennis and pádel federations and the Puerto de la Cruz City Council.
