The Higa Folklore Group commemorates its 46th anniversary with the celebration of the XII 'Margullando Tierra Adentro' Festival on July 25th at the Francisco Álvarez Abrante Auditorium in La Perdoma.

The cultural event, scheduled for 8:00 PM, will feature the participation of Parranda El Abuelo and offer free admission until full capacity. The event aims to honor the work of preserving and disseminating the ethnographic and musical heritage of the Canary Islands.
The Higa Folklore Group, originally founded in 1979 as San Jerónimo Folklore Group and adopting its current name in 1991, has been a benchmark for traditional folklore in northern Tenerife. Throughout its history, it has released eight recordings, published a book, established its Folklore School, and organized the Three Kings Parade in La Perdoma.
The collective, comprising over fifty members, has promoted festivals such as the International Arautápala and received accolades including the Silver Medal from the La Orotava City Council. With this edition, the group reaffirms its commitment to popular culture and its 46-year legacy.
