The AFEDES association is currently implementing five key projects in Los Realejos, focusing on social action, employment, and entrepreneurship promotion, in close collaboration with municipal departments.

The Councilor for Employment and Local Development of Los Realejos, Natalia Díaz, met with the project coordinator of the AFEDES association, Olga Jorge, to evaluate the progress of five social action, employability, and entrepreneurship programs that the entity is carrying out in the municipality. The councilor highlighted that this meeting serves to "review and improve the path taken in the development of these actions, strengthening alliances and common work for inclusion and opportunities".
Earlier this year, the mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González, had already expressed his gratitude for "AFEDES's continued work for the well-being and improvement of citizens' quality of life, especially among more vulnerable sectors, coordinated with our municipal social services and our Local Development Agency." The mayor reiterated "the municipal commitment and the outstretched hand so that these types of programs executed by AFEDES can be developed here, always from a social perspective, from integration and autonomy of people, and the promotion of employability".
The five projects currently being executed by AFEDES in Los Realejos are:
– Distribution of essential products, covering the basic needs of citizens with limited resources.
– The ‘Punto de Autoempleo Incorpora (PAI)’ program, which offers advice and support to aspiring entrepreneurs.
– ‘Incorpora Canarias’, focused on the labor market integration of individuals at risk of social exclusion and people with disabilities.
– ‘Afedes Joven en Acción’, aimed at improving employability and fostering youth entrepreneurship through training and personalized guidance.
– ‘Trabajando en digital’, with the objective of enhancing the digital skills of individuals at risk of social exclusion and people with disabilities.
