The Sustainable City area, led by councilor David Hernández, is advancing the Agenda 2030 with the formalization of the contract for this project, which aims for collective self-consumption and a reduction in polluting emissions. The work, awarded to Dobons Technology S.L., has a budget of 278,332.56 euros and an execution period of eight months.
Phase I includes an installed capacity of 90.00 kW on a metal canopy equipped with 184 high-efficiency photovoltaic panels. The installation will be connected under the collective self-consumption model with surplus, benefiting several municipal supply points and optimizing local energy balance.
Hernández assures that the installation of solar canopies "will also serve to turn this parking space into a true climate refuge, protecting vehicles from direct solar radiation and significantly improving thermal comfort for users who visit the area daily."
"We are reinforcing our commitment to energy efficiency, reducing our carbon footprint, and meeting sustainable development goals, positioning the municipality at the forefront of renewable energy utilization on the island," concludes Hernández.
