El Cabezo Beach served as the venue this Friday for the Spanish Windsurfing Championship, an event that brought together prominent national specialists and concluded with victories for Liam Dunkerbeck in the men's category and Alexia Kiefer Quintana in the women's. The competition also resolved the rankings in the Junior, U-15, and Master categories.
In the men's category, Liam Dunkerbeck demonstrated his dominance by achieving a score of 20.62, surpassing Marino Gil (17.37), Alessio Luca Stillrich (14.17), and Moritz Mauch (10.78). The Gran Canaria rider won all heats, confirming his strong performance.
The women's category also featured a notable Canarian presence. Alexia Kiefer Quintana secured the win with 14.25 points, ahead of María Morales (13.37), Blanca Alabau (11.50), and Laia Sol (4.12). This victory marks an excellent conclusion for Kiefer Quintana following her second-place finish in the recent World Championship.
In the youth categories, Javier Escribano took the victory in Junior with 21.28 points. In U-15, the first place went to Dennis Kolb with 23.88 points, while in Master, Josep Pons was crowned champion with 14.88 points.
With the conclusion of this championship, the official competitions of the Wind&Waves Festival 2026 come to an end. However, the event will continue through the weekend with activities focused on Foil, including open exhibitions for the public and an unofficial competition, alongside the final cultural, musical, and gastronomic offerings of the festival.
