The restoration works for the sewerage network in Santa Brígida show 37% progress on the main collector. The construction is underway on two fronts in the Alonso and Guiniguada ravines, with 42% and 34% progress respectively, and the pipelines are already partially operational.
This large-scale project, initiated in May, involves work on approximately 5 kilometers of collectors and has an investment of close to 8,000,000 euros. The objective is to restore the infrastructure severely damaged by storm Therese.
Specific work is being carried out on connections in areas with better access in both ravines, supporting emptying operations with tankers and connecting pipelines to the new network when necessary.
The next milestone, scheduled for October, is the execution of the main network in the Guiniguada ravine as it passes through the Caserío de La Humbría, near the football field. These works will cause occasional disruptions to property access, which will be coordinated in advance with affected residents to minimize impact and ensure pedestrian and emergency vehicle access.
As a provisional measure to prevent direct discharge into the channel, temporary pipes have been installed at the most critical points to channel water towards the operational sewerage network while the works progress.
