The Arucas City Council and the Cabildo de Gran Canaria held a key meeting to coordinate municipal improvements, highlighting the proposal for a sculpture in the La Goleta roundabout to honor stone carvers.

During the meeting, the local administration presented the project to install an artistic piece in the access roundabout to La Goleta, on the GC-20 road. This initiative seeks to pay tribute to the Stone Carvers of Arucas, an original proposal by local artisan Mundín Santana.
Another relevant point discussed was the municipalization of certain sections of island roads. This measure is crucial for the locality, as transferring management to the municipality will allow for more agile intervention in the maintenance and improvements of these roads, directly benefiting residents.
Furthermore, improvements in pedestrian accessibility on various roads were discussed, with special attention to the Tinocas bus stop. At this point, specific actions were considered to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility.
The meeting also served to address recent incidents on island roads, such as landslides caused by storm Therese in Arucas. Both administrations concluded the meeting with a commitment to continue working together on initiatives that positively impact the lives of Arucas citizens.
