The Department of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture has launched this initiative to improve access and retention in higher education. A key update is the inclusion of higher artistic education taught in public centers within the regional grant system for the first time.
The schedule has been significantly advanced, with the announcement released in July compared to August or September in previous years. This change is intended to provide students with greater predictability for their academic planning.

The program continues to support tuition, transport, disability, and residency costs, with the latter increasing to 3,000 euros. Additionally, income and asset thresholds have been revised to expand eligibility, and the second-chance option for students changing their academic path remains in place.
Applications can be submitted for one month starting the day after the publication in the BOC. The entire process will be managed through the Government of the Canary Islands electronic office.
