The soft drink brand Clipper has celebrated its 70 years of trajectory, consolidating itself as an emblem of Canarian industry and a benchmark of local identity in the archipelago.

The commemorative event took place at the Bodegón del Pueblo Canario, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where various personalities highlighted the company's relevance. The city's mayor, Carolina Darias, emphasized Clipper's trajectory as an example of entrepreneurship, identity, and business success.
During her speech, the mayor recalled the company's origins, founded seven decades ago in a garage in the Ciudad Jardín neighborhood by brothers Mario and Octavio Juan Gómez. They began producing soft drinks due to the difficulty of importing them, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit that, according to Darias, transcends the product and becomes a model of overcoming challenges and creativity.

"Clipper continues to sail in the hearts of Canarians. It is a brand that has left its mark on the memory and feelings of Canarian men and women."

The mayor also valued Clipper's growth in the capital of Gran Canaria and throughout the archipelago, emphasizing its deep roots in popular culture. Furthermore, she mentioned the recognition obtained in 2020, when its strawberry soft drink was awarded as World Soft Drink Champion.
For its part, a representative from the Government of Canarias, leading the delegation, emphasized the tenacity of the industrial sector, despite the economic challenges the region faces due to its distance from the European continent, associated surcharges, and the limitations of the island market.
Ahembo, the Canarian company that produces and distributes a wide catalog of beverages on the islands, seeks to generate maximum value for its clients and collaborators, with the aim of satisfying consumers' needs and expectations. The company aspires to be a leader in beverage distribution throughout Canarias, offering quality products and services.
