The Universidad Popular Juan Rodríguez Doreste, in collaboration with the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council, will host a dialogue this Wednesday on the role of women in performing arts, combining conversation and artistic expression.

The event, titled ‘Dialogue Circle on the Role of Women in the Scene’, will take place at the UP Center in Ciudad Alta at 6:00 PM. Its primary goal is to highlight female contributions in the cultural sphere and foster collective reflection on their role.
Professionals from the sector, including actresses, directors, and dancers, will share their experiences and perspectives. An Education councilor emphasized that these spaces are crucial for “making visible the talent and experience of women in culture, while generating collective reflection”.

The activity will alternate between dialogue and small performances, aiming to offer an engaging experience to the public and facilitate the exchange of ideas across various performing arts disciplines. This initiative is part of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council's cultural program in the neighborhoods, focusing on equality and citizen participation.
