The institutional event for Canary Islands Day, held at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, featured the premiere of the Canary Islands anthem sung by Braulio.

The anthem of the Canary Islands was heard with a new voice and a modified lyric during the institutional event for Canary Islands Day, held this Saturday at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The renowned singer Braulio was responsible for performing the piece, also receiving one of the Canary Islands Gold Medals.
The main novelty of this performance was the premiere of the revised version of the anthem, which now refers to "eight islets" instead of the traditional seven. This change reflects the official island status granted to La Graciosa.
